Emily Truong is a Tucson native, born and raised in the Old Pueblo. She attended undergraduate at the University of Arizona, then went to Colorado State University for her veterinary degree.
She practiced in Tucson and the surrounding southern Arizona desert until 2010, when she relocated to Seattle for 9 years. While she enjoyed the rain and mountains very much, she returned to Tucson in 2019 to enjoy more time with family.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but is especially interested in Fear Free techniques, dentistry, and pain treatment and prevention.
Daina Iman attended undergraduate at Kansas State University, where she also completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2015.
She practiced at a mixed animal ER in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she developed a love of veterinary surgery. Her passion for surgery has led to her vast knowledge in extensive surgeries as well.
She moved to Tucson in 2017. She enjoys the local flare of the Sonoran Desert and loves spending time with family and friends.
She also has a passion for urgent care cases and ultrasonography. She is interested in increasing her knowledge for veterinary exotic medicine as well. She looks forward to treating pocket pets here at Pantano in the near future.
Dr. Iman joined the Pantano family in August of 2021.
Dr. Desiree Doyle is originally from El Paso, TX. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Agriculture from New Mexico State University in 2007, and received her veterinary degree from St. George’s University in 2011. She spent the following years practicing veterinary medicine in Minnesota and has recently relocated to be closer to family. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine, client education, palliative care in our geriatric pets, and dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new places, cooking and spending time with her husband and their three fur babies (Bell, Nevaeh, and Haley).
Dr. Michael Lent is a 1991 graduate of the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Indianapolis for 5 years, he moved to Tucson, where he and Dr. Jack Quick owned and operated Pantano Animal Clinic for 20 years. He now serves as Medical Director at both Pantano Animal Clinic and Encanto Pet Clinic.
Dr. Lent is a past president of both the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and the Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and served five years as a Board Member on the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board. He was recognized as 2001 Young Veterinarian of the Year and 2016 Veterinarian of the Year by the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lent is one of the charter members of the Animal Cruelty Task Force of Southern Arizona (www.act-az.org), founded in 1998. And he served on the board of directors of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona for three years.
He has done charity veterinary work in Nicaragua with World Vets and done veterinary work for the Indian Health Service and AZ Dept. of Health on the White Mountain Apache land. He currently serves as one of two Arizona delegates to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Co-chair of the Advisory Board of the National Association for Black Veterinarians (NABV).
He is married to Stacey Lent DVM, Dipl. ACVIM—also a veterinarian–who is board-certified in veterinary internal medicine. They have two adult sons, a horse, many Pygmy goats, chickens, three rescue dogs, and a cat. He enjoys laser surgery, dentistry, behavior, as well as talking to clients about just about anything. He considers his clients and the people he is privileged to work with as part of his family and believes in working hard and having fun.
